Daisuke Nakagawa (the "Developer"), the developer of the iOS application "PicCue" (the "App"), establishes this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of user information in the App.
1. Our Approach
The App is designed so that your data stays on your device. The Developer does not operate any server that collects or stores personally identifiable information.
2. Information Handled by the App
2.1 Information stored only on your device
The following information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to the Developer or any external party:
- Images, titles, and reminder dates/times you register in the App
- In-app settings (such as the auto-delete period for completed reminders)
This information is deleted from your device when you uninstall the App.
2.2 Access to Photos and Camera
The App accesses your photo library or camera only when you choose to add an image to a reminder, and only based on your action. Selected or captured images are copied and stored inside the App and are never transmitted externally.
2.3 Notifications
The App may request notification permission in order to display reminder notifications at the times you set. Notifications use iOS local notifications and do not pass through any external server.
3. Purchase Information
Purchases of the App's paid plans are processed through the App Store payment system provided by Apple Inc. The Developer never receives your payment details such as credit card numbers.
The App uses "RevenueCat," a service provided by RevenueCat, Inc., to manage purchase status. Information necessary to verify purchases (a randomly generated app user ID, purchase receipt information, device OS version, etc.) is sent to RevenueCat. 4. Provision of Information to Third Parties
The Developer does not provide user information to any third party, except as required by law and except for the transmissions for payment and purchase management described in Section 3.
5. Advertising and Analytics
Neither the App nor this website uses any advertising service.
5.1 Usage analytics in the App
To improve the App, we use "TelemetryDeck," a privacy-friendly analytics service provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH (Germany), to collect anonymous usage statistics. What is sent consists of an anonymized, untraceable identifier generated per app installation, the type of action performed as predefined by the Developer (for example: a reminder was created, the paywall was shown), a timestamp rounded to the nearest hour, and information such as the device model, OS version, app version, and language/region settings.
The contents of your reminders — images, titles, comments — and the dates and times you set are never transmitted. No IP addresses or cookies are used, and the collected information cannot be used to identify you. This information is never used for advertising or for tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.
5.2 Analytics on this website
This website (piccue.app) uses "Vercel Web Analytics," a service provided by Vercel Inc., to understand how the site is used. The service does not use cookies and does not identify or track individual visitors. Only anonymous aggregate data — such as the pages viewed, the referring site, country, and device type — is collected.
